LULU
A film by Angel Radev
Director’s note
Lulu is a techno drama that aims to explore the effects that the recent advances in AI might have on society. It presents a possible future profession and the harrowing effects it could have on those who choose it as their vocation. It is, I believe, a very plausible future and one we should prepare for. My hope with this film is to create an intimate exploration of the effects modern technology can have on the people who police it. While the future imagined in the film is speculative, it is informed by current trends. It is a story about trauma, corporate apathy, the erosion of reality and the consequences they can have on regular people.
LOOKING FOR
We believe the film’s theme has global appeal, and our goal is to create a project that resonates internationally. To achieve this, collaboration with producers and industry experts from different countries is essential. We are actively looking for international co- producers who share our passion for this story and believe in its potential to reach audiences across borders. We are also seeking sales agents, broadcasters, distributors, and financing partners to join us on this journey. Partnering with creative talent from abroad will enrich the project, increase its visibility, and, with the support of reliable partners, further strengthen the film’s artistic statement. We are open to collaborating with key department heads from our co-producers’ countries, and while we plan to handle post-production in Bulgaria due to its cost-effectiveness, we are flexible and open to doing it in a co-producing country as well.

HEIGHT
A film by Roman Pessarov
Director’s note
Height is an experimental thriller inspired by real plane hijackings that occurred in Bulgaria during communism. It tells the story of a desperate man attempting to escape an oppressive system at any cost. Stylistically, the film draws on Brechtian traditions, deliberately alienating the audience from the reality of its setting and directing their attention to the themes. Except for the three protagonists—the hijacker, the pilot, and the stewardess—all other passengers are portrayed as plastic mannequins. The action plays out inside an actual vintage airplane. By sacrificing verisimilitude, we aim to transcend the constraints of a historical period, making the story universally resonant.
LOOKING FOR
The story unfolds entirely inside a Soviet-era Antonov AN-24 airplane, and we are committed to filming within a real decommissioned aircraft. We are open to shooting in any country with such a plane. Collaboration with producers and industry experts from different countries is vital to our vision. We seek international co-producers who share our passion for this story and are open to its experimental nature. Additionally, we are looking for sales agents, broadcasters, distributors, and financing partners.

decapitated love
A film by Petar Panayotov
Director’s note
What kind of person would possess the audacity to defy the laws of nature and cling to life even after decapitation? From that initial thought, a character began to take shape in my mind — a narcissistic and manipulative mother who exploits her son to achieve her own selfish desires. This idea laid the foundation for Decapitated Love. The film blends elements of classic horror movies with the nostalgic charm of 80s coming-of-age teen films. The film will resonate deeply with the audience, encouraging them to explore their own capacity for self-actualization and the pursuit of the seemingly impossible. “Decapitated Love” is more than just a project to me — it is a passion that drives me forward. I want this story not only to captivate and entertain, but also to provide a platform for meaningful reflection and emotional exploration.
LOOKING FOR
We believe Decapitated Love will captivate audiences with its unique blend of early Hollywood tradition and a serious story of toxic maternal dominance. We are seeking co-producers, mainly from the US and UK, but we’re open for ones from other countries as well. Also looking for sales agents, distributors, and financing partners to bring this bold vision to life. We’re open to collaborating with key department heads from co-producing countries and are flexible about completing parts of post-production abroad. Together, we aim to create a film that entertains, provokes, and resonates across borders.

Coming clean
A film by Angel Radev
Director’s note
Coming Clean is a film that combines the social realism prevalent in Bulgarian and Eastern European cinema with the suspense thriller genre. The film tackles the heavy and prescient issue of femicide, in a manner that is hopefully makes the theme more accessible to a wider audience. It is a delicate balancing act, but one that has the potential to reach viewers who would not be interested in a more traditional drama approach and bring more awareness to the issue. The backdrop is Meden Rudnik, a specific neighborhood in the city of Burgas, on the Black Sea coast. It is a place with a distinct local dialect and culture that has rarely been the setting for films. The production will cast local actors and heavily feature elements that highlight the distinctiveness of the neighborhood and region.
LOOKING FOR
We believe Coming Clean has the potential to resonate internationally, blending local authenticity with universal themes. To realize this vision, we are seeking a co-producer who shares our passion for the story and can contribute to its artistic and cultural value. Filming in Burgas, Bulgaria, the project will reflect the distinct local dialect and culture, but we welcome collaboration that enriches the narrative and broadens its perspective. While post-production in Bulgaria is budget-friendly, we are open to completing parts of it abroad to leverage specialized expertise. We have locked our Production Designer and DOP but remain flexible with other key positions to accommodate the strengths of our partners. Additionally, we are looking for sales agents in Europe and the USA, as well as festival distributors, to help ensure the film reaches international audiences and establishes its presence on the global festival circuit. Together, we aim to create a project that captivates viewers while addressing a vital and urgent social issue.
