Director’s note

Spy Passions is a hybrid mockumentary that blends fiction and reality, following a son’s search for the truth about his late father. After encountering ambiguous clues, he suspects his father may have led a secret double life in Mozambique. As he pieces together fragments of the past, the story takes increasingly surreal and absurd turns, blurring the line between memory and fantasy.

LOOKING FOR

The story explores the relationship between the Soviet bloc and post-colonial Africa, particularly Mozambique. We are looking for co-producers with an interest in hybrid films, espionage thrillers, and comedies. Because of its subject matter, co-producers with experience in stories set in Africa would be a great fit.
